Works by the British street artist known as Banksy usually command sky-high prices but the artist recently set up a stall in Central Park and sold canvases emblazoned with his distinctive stencils for a mere $60 a pop.

The pop-up sale happened for one day only and the artist subsequently posted a video documenting it. Sales were slow at the booth at first, which was staffed by an elderly man, and the first purchase was made well into the afternoon by a customer who negotiated a 50% discount. Nothing in the stall indicated that the paintings were by the secretive Banksy, whose true identity is unknown.
