Scribetrotter: I second that. I usually wrap it around my Nalgene bottle.

Dalin: Same thing happened to my girlfriend. Of course, when that happens she tosses the old wallet, chalks it up to $0.07 worth of loss tape, and makes a new one.

I've been using homemade duct tape wallets for several years now. Overall I like them a lot because they are a good conversation starter, but after a while they start to get all of your cards dirty and gummy and gross.

I never go backpacking without it!

But to save space, I cut off a chunk and roll it up around a pencil. Less weight, less volume.

And great to patch up holes in the mosquito tent too.

LOL ... Stacy, my girlfriend did the same thing a few years back. It's amazing how long the stuff lasts even with regular use.

I love it! My oldest son is a duct tape addict. He made a tri-fold wallet a few years ago. This might be the perfect xmas gift!
