dude, the same thing happened to me, but i got mine on the plane. actually not the same thing. but the same toy and the same airport. at the time i lived in nh and my dad lived in jersey. i was flying from logan to newark. mine must have been in robot form in my backpack. because they let me right through security. once on the plane i played with him for a while. but then i got bored so i turned him into a gun, leaned over the back of my seat, and proceeded to blast away at the more suspicious looking adults, or the kids unfortunate enough to be there with their parents. the stews took it from me and gave it to my dad when i landed. i got in a little trouble. but it was worth it.

I loved the story. No arguments over grammar but I did 'stumble' over 'gifted' only because it didn't feel like an 8 yr old would say that. But, HEY, I'm middle America and realize that speech is different throughout this great country.

Being a very visual person, I got the whole 'video' of this story. Reminded me of a great new "Christmas Story" that wouldn't carry the threat of "you're gonna shoot your eye out...". Well done!

Fantastic story! Shockwave is one of my all-time favourite transformers (even though he's a Decepticon). Do you still have the toy?
