London’s ‘Boring’ Conference A Sleeper Hit

Despite the organizers’ best efforts, the Boring Conference is apparently having difficulty fulfilling its mandate of being uninteresting, as evidenced by the fact that all 500 tickets for this year’s event sold out.

Boring got its start as a facetious substitute for the defunct 2010 Interesting conference and has grown in popularity with each subsequent edition.

Topics on the agenda for Boring 2012, which occurred this past weekend in London, included toast, the relative heights of famous people, hydro wires, the history of self-service checkouts and several other tedious-sounding subjects.
