Saggy Pants Ban in Effect in New Jersey
by Heather Bond | August, 2013
Penns Grove, N.J. and St. Louis, MO are joining New Jersey beach town Wildwood in an attempt to “encourage family values” and instituting a ban on saggy pants.
Wildwood has had the ban in effect since July. Men seen wearing their pants low enough to reveal their underwear will be fined $25 in Penns Grove. The ban is not in effect yet in St. Louis—lawmakers are discussing a bill to ban the style, adding that it will aid in crime prevention efforts.
