I had a mere 12 hours to enjoy Hanoi, Vietnam, while enoute to the finish line of Saigon after 30 days of train travel from Lisbon as part of the Ultimate Train Challenge.
Getting hungry, I took a peek at a local menu. There was a page dedicated to tortoise fare, another for various innards, and another (as pictured here) for snakes. I didn’t realize there were so many ways to enjoy “snake – head”! (And no, I didn’t end up trying it. It was 11am at the time, and I simply don’t eat reptiles before 5pm. It’s uncouth.)
