Tourist Vandalizes Luxor Temple
by Heather Bond | May, 2013
A 15 year old tourist etched his name onto the 3,000 year old Luxor Temple in Egypt, yet ran into more trouble in his home country.
The boy’s graffiti was roughly translated to ”Ding Jinhao wuz here”. His home country of China is outraged more so than Egypt. Just this month, Chinese officials sent notices asking that citizens act appropriately when overseas. This incident is an example of why officials feel they have such a bad reputation overseas.
There is no word on whether the boy will face consequences for the act of vandalism. Read more at Gadling.
