Is This Plane Going to Crash? Nah, It’s Just “Rolling Shutter” Effect

Have you ever shot a video of a fast moving object and wound up with something like this:
Creepy, no? As one commenter on the above video noted, it’s like “a glitch in the Matrix”. It’s actually the result of something called the “rolling shutter” effect, which happens particularly in fast moving scenes where the action is happening faster than the image scanner is rotating.
Another equally bizarre example.
