The resumption of balloon flights for sightseers at Luxor has been authorized by Egypt’s civil aviation authorities following the introduction of new safety measures. Flights had been halted since February when 19 people were killed when a balloon caught fire and crashed. The region’s governor did the honor of taking the first flight after the ban was lifted.
