You don’t have to be an avid reader to enjoy this list. In fact, a number of these libraries are known for their rich history and architectural marvels.

Among the oldest on the list is the Austrian National Library in Vienna, which was completed in 1726. Santiago Calatrava, Norman Foster, and Baroque architect Johann Bernard Fischer von Erlach played a part in some of the featured libraries presented by BootsnAll.

If you plan to visit any of the locations, just remember to keep your voice down and don’t fall asleep in the carrels.
