One lucky Pomeranian is sitting pretty with 5 million Facebook fans, a book deal and now a new role as ambassador for Virgin America airlines.

Boo, a six-year-old Pomeranian, has already started his duties, patrolling San Francisco International Airport with his fellow canine friend Buddy. Ambassador isn’t the first title that Boo has been bestowed–his book of photos, “Boo: The Life of the World’s Cutest Dog,” claim his first honor.

Boo will “provide” pet-friendly travel advice for the airline over the next few months. More photos of Boo on Virgin Atlantic can be seen at The Daily Mail.

  1. I’m from New Zealand and have been away from home and family for almost eight years. I need to return to NZ this year. I rescued a tiny wee tuxedo kitten from the street 4 years ago and since then we’ve become inseparable. He monstered and mercilessly attacked me when he was a kitten, he cried when I left the house to go to work, and waited at the window for me to return. He always meets me at the door. Mr Ekko has seen me through thick and thin; after I was raped he turned into a snuggly love-bug when I was depressed. When I was miserable Mr Ekko turned into a clown to cheer me up. He regularly checks me out and when he smells something wrong with me he lets me know that I need to visit the doctor .. he’s always right!
Anyway, as I said, I need to return to NZ this year. Every airline I have approached has told me they’re unwilling to transport Mr Ekko,
Boo, and Virgin America, are you able to help us?
    Hopefully yours,
    Prue and Mr Ekko
