For the third time in 15 years, a Continental Connection plane with the intended destination of Lake Charles Regional Airport in Louisiana accidentally landed in Southland Field in Sulphur. Passengers were given a limo ride to their intended destination of Lake Charles about a half-hour drive away.

The confusion is partially due to the fact that the airports are on the same latitude and look similar from the air. Also, there isn’t really anywhere for the pilot to pull over and ask for directions mid-flight”¦
