A Swedish moose, apparently sloshed out of its mind from eating fermented apples, was found in a tree last week.
Per Johansson says he heard a roar from his vacationing neighbor’s garden in southwestern Sweden late Tuesday and went to have a look. There, he found a female moose kicking about in the tree. The animal was likely drunk from eating fermented apples…Other neighbors in the Goteborg suburb Saro had seen the animal sneaking around the area for days. Johansson said the moose appeared to be sick, drunk or “half-stupid.”
It isn’t entirely clear how the neighbors could differentiate between a moose that is “sneaking around the area” and one that is just walking normally. Or what a “half stupid” moose does differently than a totally stupid moose. But I guess Swedes just have a keen sense of moose behavior.
