Dubai and New York Go Head-to-Head in a “Ferris-Wheel-Off”

Dubai and New York City are currently going head-to-head as they each plan to build ferris wheels that tower over the amusement parks built up around them.

Currently, the front-runner is The Dubai Eye at 688 feet (209.702 Meters). The Staten Island runner-up is planned at just 625 feet, but they will still be two of the tallest in the world. The Dubai Eye will cost around $1.5 billion and will be built, starting in April, as part of the Bluewaters Island project.
