Celebrating Eight Years of World Hum
by Mike Richard
It’s not often that we post congratulations and virtual pats on the back, but dang it … it’s World Hum’s 8th birthday!
Eight years may not seem like a long time, but in the ever changing world of the intertubes, it’s an entire era (in 2001, YouTube wasn’t even a flicker in some future dot com millionaire’s eye!). And they continue to consistently publish some of the best, most relevant, thoughtful, and insightful travel narratives and articles anywhere – online or off.
So we wanted to take a second to tip our hat to the staff and all their hard work over the past eight years. Congrats, all!
If you haven’t already, I highly recommend checking them out. They’re celebrating all week with tons of booze … er … reposts of past reader favorites, including: Pico Iyer’s Why We Travel, along with other classic posts Eight Great Stories of the Shrinking Planet and Eight Great Travel Stories about Food.
