A 50-foot turkey sailed into the port of Miami for Thanksgiving, sporting a Hawaiian shirt and straw hat. Turkeys cannot fly — a fact the classic sitcom WKRP so memorably ingrained in the public consciousness. Apparently they prefer to cruise.

The inflatable turkey arrived atop the Carnival Breeze, which is set to commence its inaugural sailing on Thanksgiving Day.

To mark the occasion, Carnival Cruise Lines is also donating 137,500 meals to a Florida food bank and holding a Twitter contest to name the giant bird, using the hashtag #TurkeyOnDeck. Suggestions can be tweeted until November 25th. The winner, who will receive a $500 gift card toward their next holiday party, will be announced on November 26th.

Be glad the turkey isn’t real. At 1,250lbs it would make for a lot of leftovers!
