We’ve all Googled our names at some point, to watch in fear if some undesirable skeletons would tumble out of our virtual closet, or to check who else would turn up in the listings.
But Jim Killeen decided to take vanity searches a step further. He went on a journey to meet the other “Jim Killeens” that turned up when he Google’d his own name. The search for his Google namesake took him literally around the world.
Now, Killeen has turned his journey into a documentary feature. The movie Google Me chronicles Jim’s search for the other Killeens, and the seven that he found - four in the United States and one each in Scotland, Ireland and Australia.
The movie recently saw a simultaneous release on YouTube and at Rhode Island’s Newport Film Festival.

This was done by a British comic called Dave Gorman years ago. I hope he is getting some of the revenue rights!
