Ever wonder how your country ranks on a worldwide scale of happiness? For those that didn’t know such a measurement existed, the Legatum Institute has recently crunched the numbers for their official 2011 Legatum Prosperity Index of 110 countries.

The Index ranks countries on their overall level of prosperity, including: economy, entrepreneurship, governance, education, health, safety, personal freedom, and social capital. Data is provided by the Gallup polling organization.

At number 1 for the third year in a row, is Norway. Noted for being one of the richest countries in the world, Norway ranks first in social capital and second in safety and security. At numbers 2-5 are Denmark, Australia, New Zealand, and Sweden.

Rounding out the bottom five of the list are: Mali (#110), followed by India, Senegal, Nepal, and Cambodia.
