For an exclusive amount of time this month, a Helsinki cafe is allowing visitors to change the settings of the cafe electronically.

A web site with live video lets Internet users raise or lower the seats and tables, dim the lights, or change the music. This can all be done remotely, or, with free wifi, customers can even play tricks on others on the spot.

Kauko, the cafe, set up the installation this month to celebrate Helsinki’s designation as a 2012 World Design Capital. The installation was created to question what makes design good or bad. Video and more details on Kauko’s installation can be found here.
