Jordan to Build Star Trek Theme Park Matthew Burckhardt July 21, 2011 News 2 Comments USS Enterprise © JD Hancock Lawrence of Arabia, meet Captain Kirk: the Jordanian coastal city of Aqaba has plans to build a $1 billion Star Trek theme park by 2014. The 184-acre Star-Trek themed entertainment resort, The Red Sea Astrarium (TRSA) is due to be built by 2014 in the Red Sea port city of Aqaba in southern Jordan. It’s not as random as it seems, though.
