New MagShoe Security Screener: Keep Your Shoes On!

A new device for airport security has been pioneered by Israel (Israel Tours) to eliminate the need to take shoes off at the airport.
MagShoe, a true testament to the generation raised on Seinfeld, requires passengers to step onto it like a scale, and within two seconds the device can detect “unusual metals” inside of the shoe that could aid hijackers or act as bomb detonators. MagShoe costs around $5,000, making it a realistic and affordable security tool for airports all over the world.
While the device can’t sniff out explosive material, there is a model in the works from Israeli company Ido Security Ltd. Depending on which side you take concerning airport security, this new X-Ray device could make your line-waiting go a little quicker, or give you feet cancer.
