Keeping a Travel Blog Your Friends Will Love to Read [Flashback]

Blogging has exploded in the past three years. Some estimates claim literally tens of millions of blogs now online. But blogging is writing, which some folks have a knack for and, let’s face it, some just don’t.

One year ago today, traveler and editor Amanda Kendle explored a few tips for keeping a travel blog your friends will love to read:

Just Give us the Highlights and Lowlights

I might use the phrase “travel diary” but I don’t mean it literally. We all want to know what you’re doing on your travels, but we don’t want to know everything. Don’t start each blog entry with “We got up at 6.30am and …”. Please don’t tell us what you ate for each meal, unless it was alive and moving or involved large amounts of chocolate.
