The mercury has been reaching new heights in Adelaide, Australia in recent days, and this has led some of the wildlife to become extra resourceful.
The Wickers family in the suburb of Flagstaff were surprised by a koala who came to drink from their swimming pool for an hour on a day when the temperature reached 40.5C. After quenching its thirst, the brazen marsupial lounged on cool rocks nearby for the rest of the day.
