North America’s favorite seasonal weatherman, Punxsutawney Phil, has a bit of competition on Groundhog Day.

Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania has been home to the largest and oldest celebration, dating back to the late 1800’s. But other groundhogs stretching from Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia to Lilburn, Georgia offer more “unique” celebrations. Wiarton Willie of Ontario is the only albino groundhog, and he boasts his own website. And while he isn’t a real groundhog, Balzac Billy of Alberta greets the day with gifts of coffee, pancakes and Tim Horton’s doughnuts.

A complete list of the groundhogs can be seen at Huffington Post.
