Not to be outdone by the rash of sky high buildings spreading in the East, a group of British architects have proposed a mile high eco-friendly tower. The proposed construction resembles a vertical cylinder, and is designed to accommodate 100,000 non-acrophobic people, across 500 stories, besides space for hospitals, schools and shops for all residents.

Punctuated at regular intervals throughout the building are what the architects optimistically call public spaces — open spaces or “holes” that will feature some greenery and a mind boggling view of the city.

There’s no evidence yet of how exactly this building could prove less of a strain on our planet. But Popular Architecture, which has proposed the design, insists that such a building will alleviate the demand for land in the rest of the city. Sort of an “up, up and away” approach to living.

  1. I swear (if I were allowed to) that someone is tapping into my brain and stealing every plan in it (stay the hell away from the pleasure area of my brain, you might get disturbed).
Anyway my idea were simmilar to this grandeur endeauvor(i dont know how to spell it).
However instead of letting people live inside of it, it would contain plants and or animals. Think of them as agriculture cylos (again cant spell); think controlable climate; think massive crops little space, little disturbed natural habitat.
thank you for allowing me to bitch.

  2. Oh yeah I would advise everyone containing or at least rented a fully functioning brain to wear a decorated foil hat!!
