Marilyn Monroe, George Clooney Among AA Passengers’ Dream Crew

A recent survey by American Airlines found that Marilyn Monroe was passengers’ top pick for the ultimate flight attendant, while George Clooney was the most popular choice for the pilot’s job.

Personally I think George Clooney’s natural charm and ability to put people at ease would make him a far better flight attendant, but the survey’s underlying sexism seems to have escaped the attention of commentators. Judging by the article I read in The Telegraph, all of the choices for flight attendant were female and all but one of the options for pilot were male. I would much rather have Angelina Jolie at the controls because she seems like a very focused, mission-oriented person and, unlike the men on the list, she knows how to fly a freaking airplane.
