The Wired blog is reporting a hidden feature in the latest version of Google Earth. Apparently, at any point in time, you can hit “[CTRL/option]+ALT+A” (for PCs), and you’ll be given the controls of flight simulated plane to fly through Google’s virtual world:
Google is about to take you around the world again, the new release of Google Earth features a simple flight sim. After installing the updated version, you can fly either a Cirrus or an F-16 Viper. Very limited choices compared to Microsoft’s version, but the imagery is compelling.
Sweet! Another toy for the armchair traveler.
