Hm … why is it that male backpackers flock to Australia like moths to a flame? Wait, now I remember. Via The Age:

Funding for tertiary courses in prostitution could be considered under changes aimed at boosting quality and relevance in the sector, New Zealand education officials say.

TEC chief executive Janice Shiner said under the new system a request to provide prostitution courses would be assessed against the same criteria as any other course.

Let me underscore this in case you missed it:

Quality and relevance. Of hookers. Perhaps they should also consider mandating suggestion boxes and comment cards for all card carrying call girls?

You just can’t make this stuff up.

Ah, my native country… always so forward-thinking.

But really, a degree in prostitution? The mind boggles when considering the theory vs practice and grading scenarios.

Prostitutes seem to have managed fine without qualifications for the last 20,000 years.
