“Panda Cabs” Start Temporary Run in London

“Panda cabs” have arrived in London, as a cross-promotion with China. The 50 cabs are painted with “Go Chengdu,” the Chinese city’s official English tourism website.

Chengdu is the home of giant pandas, so it’s only fitting that the promotional cabs tout their most notable icon. About 30 of the cabs are actually decorated as pandas, while the others are wrapped with images of the bears. Tourists can find the cabs circling popular London attractions, such as Piccadilly Circus, Buckingham Palace, Marble Arch and Trafalgar Square.

The cabs started service in time for the London Olympics and will continue running through August 31. More on the cute cabs can be seen at CNNGO.com
