Paris Attempts to Curb Rudeness with New Manual

Paris has a reputation for its treatment of tourists. Despite, or perhaps because of, being among the most desirable destinations on tourists’ European itineraries, Parisians have a habit of being surly toward their guests.

All that’s about to change, as the chamber of commerce has a solution. A manual has been created to teach Parisians how to be nice to tourists. Businesses are worried that they can no longer afford to be offensive, as they may be losing ground in the battle for the hearts of prospective visitors. The manual has been issued to 30,000 of the city’s workers who deal with tourists.

Right, now that that’s sorted, we should move on and create a handbook for world peace. Why didn’t anyone think of this sooner?
