The controversial wall that Israel has under construction to reduce terrorist attacks on civilians has gotten a new and unusual artistic use.
An independent organization is running a message service for people who want to see their messages displayed, spray painted on the wall. For 30 Euros, for example, you can order a personalized “Tony loves Becky” message as a gift to your sweetheart. Artists on the Palestinian side of the fence will spray paint your message, and then send you three digital images of their artwork. You can even choose to send your message to friends.
A novel way to announce anything – the birth of a child, an engagement – and so much more meaningful than a Hallmark card. No racist or inflammatory messages allowed, however.
The organization running the project says funds generated will go towards social and educational activities in Palestine.
