hi there!!
can i ask
why and who cut down the tree on one tree hill auckland?
December 31st, 2008
The tree was cut down permanently because it was dying. The reason it was dying was that it been attacked by an activist who took a chainsaw to the trunk. The activist failed, but after time and several more attempts of cutting it down, the tree decided it got tired of living. So the local officials decided to cut the tree down for safety. The irony is that tree is a just a plain pine tree. But it symbolised British colonisation, which is why it was attacked in the beginning.
Hope this answers your question
