San Francisco Nights Will Sparkle Starting Tonight

The switch is about to be flipped on a monumental light sculpture. San Francisco’s Bay Bridge has been adorned with 25,000 LED lights which will dazzle onlookers with a choreographed light show every night for the next two years.

Remarkably, the display, created by visual artist Leo Villareal, will not repeat during its entire two-year run. The Bay Lights will only consume $15 worth of electricity each night, thanks to the incredible energy efficiency of the LED bulbs used.

The Grand Lighting of The Bay Lights will occur at 8:30PM PST, March 5th and will be broadcast live on the internet.
