Didn’t matter who’s been naughty or nice, on December 17th, Whistler Blackcomb ski resort in British Columbia gave away free lift tickets to the first 75 costumed Sanata Clauses that came to the resort.

The giveaway is part of the resort’s annual “Dress Like Santa Day.”

There’s no registration for the event, but don’t think next year you can just slap on a santa hat and expect a free lift ticket. In order to qualify for the tickets Santa impersonators must have red or black pants, a red jacket with white trim, a black belt, a red and white hat, and a white beard.

About 80 to 100 would-be Santas show up each year and take part in the 8:30am group Santa ski and group photo.
