Scotland plans to pressure the US to lift its current ban on haggis – the Scottish dish made of sheep’s heart, liver, and lung wrapped in its stomach lining. The US clamped a ban on the Scot favorite after the outbreak of Mad Cow Disease.

According to a rep, the dish is completely safe to eat. Americans of Scottish descent have recently begun to shown an increased interest in their cultural heritage, and tartan shops have been reporting brisk business. The haggis lobby no doubt feels that the dish, which is as Scottish as kilts, could have a huge market among expats across the pond.

Tony Bourdain would be proud.
