I’m guessing bathrooms as well.

Men and women must stay at least 1-foot apart?

Men and Women on Wharf, with Bathrooms. But no Skateboard, Holding a Skateboard, talking about Skateboarding or Biking allowed.

How about a combination? I vote for:

“Unisex bathrooms available for non-skateboard riding men and women standing at least one foot apart.”

Only non-skateboard/bike/skate riding men & women on wharf - half/halfs aren’t allowed! :P

I don’t understand the humor in this. Obviously there are bathrooms available on the wharf but no riding of bikes, skates (rollerblades, etc.), or skateboards is allowed on said wharf. Please explain why it is humorous or confusing :(

[women have a right to fish.] no one has a right to bike, skate or skateboard while women are fishing

I used to live in San Francisco. This particular area is a very touristy spot with a lot of industrial boats. Tourists are allowed in this area on the wharf but it is too crowded for people on wheels.

of course it is funny!! come on!!!

@Bryce and Eric: It’s the top sign that’s amusing. Literally means women and men on wharf. The signmaker has skipped a step in the usual symbolism where the sign for woman suddenly means the sign for woman’s bathroom.

I’m sure it means “No holding hands”. How sad!
