A bunch of men, women and kids attempting to break a people-dressed-like-Smurfs world record and finding out they lost, anyway.

Smurfs World Record

The Croatian organizers of the feat managed to gather 395 men, douse them in blue paint, and outfitt them in white pants and ridiculous floppy hats to resemble the Smurf characters from the very popular ”˜80s cartoons. Somebody was obviously very lax with the research — they based their attempt on information they found on the Internet that the record had been set by a group of Americans who had 295 Smurfs gather in a single place. As it turns out, students at Warwick University had already broken the record last year by gathering 451 Smurfs.

Just goes to remind you: don’t believe everything you read on the Net.
