A songbird made quite the trek on a 10-hour flight from Taiwan to LAX last week. The bird was discovered in-flight, hopping down an aisle. It was believed to be an attempted animal smuggling.

Upon arrival at LAX, a stewardess captured the bird, which was taken away by agents from U.S. Customs and Border Protection. There is no word on whether the bird has been sent back to Taiwan.

More on the avian stowaway can be seen here.

  1. That must have been really cute to see the little songbird hoping down the aisle. But it really does surprise me that people would smuggle birds?! I hope the bird got back to Taiwan safely.
