Have a few travel photos lying around that just aren’t big enough? Ever think to yourself, “You know this photo of my bare bottom exposed on top of the Eiffel Tower just isn’t big enough?” You’re in luck.

Enter The Rasterbator:

The Rasterbator creates huge, rasterized images from any picture. Upload an image, print the resulting multi-page pdf file and assemble the pages into extremely cool looking poster up to 20 meters in size.

There are two ways to supersize your photo. Either upload it to The Rasterbator website for free:

You can either upload a file from your computer or use any file that is publicly available in the Internet. After you have cropped the image and selected a desired size, the rasterbated image will be sent to you as an easily printable pdf file.

… or download their free application and work all the supersizing magic on your own computer. Either way it’s free - only cost to you is ink and paper.

I tried the free application and it works like a dream. The photos needn’t be of super high quality either - just about any 4-5 megapixel camera should do. The photos are printed with kind of a neat, unique stippling effect, giving the illusion of high art.
