Punk: Chaos to Couture traces the aesthetic influence of punk on fashion and includes garments from designers Vivienne Westwood, John Galliano, Dolce and Gabbana, Alexander McQueen, Karl Lagerfeld and many others. These are carefully tied back to punk’s subversive heyday in the 1970s when self-described anarchists and anti-establishment types eschewed the mainstream and embraced a do-it-yourself approach to fashion that proved incredibly provocative.
