Tiny Thieves Leave a Trail of Robberies

This story is almost too outrageous to be true.

Cops looking for clues to a spate of robberies across Sweden have reached the conclusion that they were committed by a person of “very short stature” hiding in large sports bags.

The modus operandi apparently is quite simple. Members of the racket board a bus, and place the bag containing the thief inside in the luggage compartment. When all are asleep, the midget robber sneaks out, whisks away valuables, and hastily retreats back into the safety of the bag. On reaching the destination, the guys pick up the bag and leave, with no one the wiser.

Cops aren’t sure if the thief in question is a child or a “bantam adult.” For now, traveling passengers have been advised not to keep valuables in the luggage compartment.
