Turn Your Cell Phone Into a Phrase Book with Trippo

Finally, there’s a way to tell that snooty French waiter your soup is cold without having to fumble through a phrasebook. A new translation tool called Trippo promises to do just that with the help of your cell phone.
Trippo is a client-server application that works on all mobile phones that have a data card. All you have to do is type in the sentence you need translated, and you will immediately get a written version that you can read out as well as an audio recording of the translation.
Currently, Trippo only supports translation from English to Italian, Spanish and French. But additional languages are sure to follow.
It’s a handy thing to depend on when you need to speak like the locals, and not as expensive as it seems. A 3-day license will set you back just $3, while a one year license will cost approximately $37.
