It’s the moment every independent traveler’s been waiting for. Flying around like George Jetson might not be the stuff of sci-fi for very long. Jet Pack International has just launched its turbine Jet Packs and these will be on sale soon. The new packs are said to be a lot safer than traditional jetpacks, and have a longer flight time.

The price for zipping around the skies is a tad steep – $226,060 to be exact, including training. But the company’s chief executive Troy Widgery is optimistic about having a consumer version in the near future because “the joy of flying should be experienced by everyone, not just stuntmen.”
Handing consumers the keys to rocket powered personal flying machines? What could possibly go wrong?

I’m looking forward to the warning labels this would have. Would it have something like “Avoid death” ?
