Homer Simpson has lost to Baywatch babes in the battle for the minds of Venezuela’s children. A TV station in the country has yanked The Simpsons off air, and replaced it with Baywatch.
According to a spokesperson, the decision came after viewer complaints about the characters in the iconic Simpsons show, although neither the country’s National Telecommunications Association nor the Televen TV station has specified which parts of the show were so offensive. The show, she said, went against “the whole education of boys, girls, and adolescents.”
Unlike more enlightening fare … like David Hasselhoff and women with fake boobs running in super slow motion, of course.
