Weird Things in the Hotel Lost and Found: Boy, Cat and Human Remains

According to Travelodge Hotel in Edinburgh, the strangest piece of lost property that guests left behind in 2007 was a 4 year old boy (?!?). The parents apparently had a family party to attend, and loads of luggage. In all the excitement, they forgot to take their son along. Thankfully, they returned as soon as they realized they were missing a progeny, and drove right back to the hotel to find the little boy still playing with his toys in the room.

This perhaps isn’t nearly as odd as another Travelodge in Scotland that reported an urn full of ashes that was left behind. (Maybe someone decided they didn’t really want their mother-in-law “resting” on the mantle for eternity?)

Other strange items included a Persian cat, and the most intriguing of all – a suitcase full of wigs and eyeglasses.
