World’s Shortest Flight to be Continued

A new contract has been awarded for the world’s shortest scheduled flight. Flights from Westray to Papa Westray in Orkney, Scotland can last as little as 47 seconds in favourable winds, and the incumbent airline faced competition from two other carriers. In the end the contract for the serves was awarded to Loganair, which has operated this route since 1967.
