“Yes, We’re Alive” Says Australia

It appears as though we just might make it. As the western hemisphere moved from Thursday, December 20 to Friday December 21, all (internet) eyes were on Australia to see if they pulled through.

Tourism Australia’s Facebook page has been inundated with ‘likes’ and comments over the past 12 hours asking how everyone was doing, and if “things” were alright. This makes sense because, as everyone knows, if the (incorrectly understood) Mayan prophecy had been right, the world would have ended one time zone at a time, starting with Australia.
