Icebreaker Unveils New Women’s Activewear & Travel Clothing [First Look]
by The Vagabondish Team | May, 2013
More Icebreaker wear? Yes, admittedly we love it so much, we just. Can’t. Stop. Talking about it. BUT, if you’re a lady (or gentleman who prefers soft, frilly clothing), you’re in luck! Icebreaker has unveiled a new line of women’s activewear and outdoor/travel clothing – its lightest, finest weight of merino and first-ever travel shorts made of an innovative merino/cotton blend.
The Willow Collection
The Willow Line is billed as tissue-weight fabric – made from ultralight 120gm featherweight merino wool. The new range features a ¾-sleeve top (pictured above), tank (pictured above), a tunic and a scarf.
With a lightweight jersey construction and a relaxed fit, the series is silky soft, highly breathable, packs light, and is super easy to care for. Plus the odor-resistance of merino means it can be worn many times without washing – cutting down on laundry, especially for travelers.
Available now from $69.99 directly from Icebreaker.com.
Wraps + Cover-ups
Also new is a collection of cover-ups including the open-draped Villa Wrap (pictured above), the stylish Villa Cardigan, the cropped Via Cardigan and the longer-length, gently draping Vista Hood. New to Icebreaker’s Black Sheep collection of premium, fine-gauge knitwear this season is the Athena LS Scoop (pictured above), which comes in a selection of strong, seasonal stripes as well as classic black.
Available now from $119.99 directly from Icebreaker.com.
Further additions to the range of lightweight travel wear are Icebreaker’s stylish dresses like the new Pizzario (pictured above) dresses, as well as new colors in the Villa Dress (pictured above).
Available now from $74.99 directly from Icebreaker.com.
For bottoms, Icebreaker is further tapping into the trend towards natural fibers by teaming merino with cotton. The 70% merino/30% cotton woven shorts (available for men and women) – combine the breathability, temperature control and softness of premium merino with cotton for strength, durability and shape. And they’re damn near-perfect shorts for summer travel (as we previously attested).
Available now from $114.99 directly from Icebreaker.com.
